January 1, 2014 my bio...
As a child of the 1960's born in San Francisco my world has always been a dichotomy of ideas values beliefs and desires. Early influences were family members who served in Vietnam and those who protested the wars. Never the first kid on my block to get anything my parents divorced in the mid 1970's ending the streak. School was a joy and a torture. Rebelliousness pushed at my skin as I saw the hypocrisy inherent in our society exemplified by our private and public education systems. At the same time the exposure to ideas, thoughts, and new people drew me back into the classrooms, lunchrooms and playgrounds even as my instincts to withdraw and become invisible to those around me became stronger with each passing year. After years of being the "new kid" I finally settled in with relatives in a safe country environment. The social mix of farmers, country gentry, and kids of engineers and scientists was comfortable and familiar although totally new to me. I could finally hide in plain sight. Been here ever since.
